Abstract
This paper describes a model for calculating the equivalent misalignment of gears due to deformations of shafts, bearings and gears in gear box. This modeling consists of calculating the bending and torsional deformations of gear shaft considering the bearing stiffnesses(radial and moment stiffnesses) and gear body, and a method for calculating the equivalent misalignment of gears was obtained. The calculation program was developed using MS Visual Basic and the validity of the calculation program developed was examined by comparing the results of this program with those presented by United States, Germany and France to the ISO TC60 WG6. This program makes Japan catch up these countries in terms of usage of ISO 6336 standard for load carrying capacity of cylindrical involute gears in practice of international technical/industrial affairs.
