Study on the Structure of Thin Films of Copper, Zine and Brass Prepared by Evaporation in Helium Gas at Low Pressure
The structures of the thin films of zinc, copper and brass containing 10,20,30 and 40 percent of zinc which were prepared by evaporation in helium gas at low presure were investigated. 1) The size and shape of the fine particles of these metals prepared by flash evaporation in helium gas did not change with the presure of helium gas. The size of them was almost 100~300Å and the shape of them was irregular polyhedron. 2) The constructions of the fine particles of brass were different from those of original brasses and were not uniform. 3) The lattice constants of evaporated brass particles containing 10~30% zinc were smaller than those of original brasses about 0.05%. 4)the shape of zinc partcles which were evaporated gradually in helium gas was hexagonal columnar and the shape of them was connected with the pressure of helium gas and basked heater to mesh. 5)The deformation stacking fault seems to not exist.
