| Abstract | Rumex acetosa L. is a dioecismic perennial herb possessing a sexual reproductive system. This taxon shows an unbalanced sex ratio in the nature population (Gamodeme). The present study was taken up on purpose that some caused of the unbalanced sex ratio would be clarified ecologically and cytogenetically. From ecological observational results, it was assumed that the unbalanced sex ratio in this taxon was induced not from an accidental chance, but from some ecological selection pressures. On the other hand, from cytogenetical researchers, it was confirmed that a certation between the female and the male pollen grains and a selection of male clones within the term from a germination period to a flowering period might be related with the occurrence of unbalanced sex ratio of this taxon.
