In this study, we focus on biometric authentication using intra-palm propagation signals, which are biometric information that is not exposed to the body surface. A pair of electrodes is placed on the palm to generate an intra-palm propagation signal as an input. A weak electric current is passed between the electrodes, and a leakage electric field is generated around the electrodes. This field propagates through the palm and is detected as a change in voltage as an output. We propose a new propagation signal and a dedicated measurement device to improve the authentication rate.
