| 抄録 | The authors surveyed the cupola operation in a certain foundry in Tottori city by a several exam-inations, such as top gas analysis, chill test, fluidity test, microscopic obsevation of cast structure, and hardness test. The results of obtained are that the molten metal is apt to get oxidized, which fact is due to lower temperature of the early molten iron, much moisture i the blast, too much blast, rusty material, and larger block of material.
