Examples thereof are the L1, L2 equivalence, Krashen's input hypothesis, the desirability of task work as a central planning tool, the necessity of learning vocabulary in context, the irrelevance of cross linguistic association to SFLL and the failure of comparative method research to produce findings of any significance.
