Users are asked to draw or write a simple symbol on a smartphone display, which eases authentication from a user's perspective than the conventional verification method. In conventional studies, 40 individual features were extracted from the finger-writing motion. After normalization and polar-coordinate transformation, they were fused together and used to verify whether the users were genuine or imposters. However, the introduced polar transformation method has limitations and an efficient selection rule to fuse features is required. In this study, we overcame the limitations of the polar transformation method.
