By combining reed planting with microorganism adhesion carriers, good water purification performance was achieved. From the analysis of microbial communities, presence of various aerobic and anaerobic bacterial species as well as rhizosphere microorganisms could infer good water purifying performance. Photocatalyst was also effective for environmental
