Under the assumption that logical thinking requires clear distinction between a fact and a fiction, we continued a practice using the Toulmin model, which makes it easy to express this. In the present study, we analyzed the written argument when junior high school students solved elementary school-level questions, and discussed points to pay attention to in the use of written
