However, there are some situations in which students do not engage in sufficient discussion with others. Based on the tanka class and questionnaires, we investigated how the students perceived the discussion and found that the students' strong awareness of the discussion as a learning process is an issue. In order to nurture students who are willing to construct their own opinions, it is necessary to make the class not only a place for learning, but also a place for activities that enable students to learn the interest of the material itself and to tackle learning issues with a questioning
