In doing so, they learn that the primary industry faces many problems, such as a declining and aging labor force. I designed a lesson to get students to think about the sustainability of primary industries. Students learned about the 6th industrialization concept and came up with actual product ideas. Through this activity, students were able to think about the elements necessary for primary industry to be sustainable. By learning to set up atypical problems and diffuse and converge their thinking with their peers, the students not only developed their thinking, judgment, and expression skills, but also improved their motivation to learn social studies.
