I tried to apply visual media such as movie or video-recordings of TV programs to classes of music appreciation. The device was to show students a movie whose music was replaced by a music different from the music originally used, for example watching a “Jaws” movie with Michio Miyagi’s “Haru-no-Umi (Sea of Spring)” instead of John Williams’ original sound track, to make students realize messages of the music composer intended.
