They have also shown that the residual potentials of the interconnecting capacitances can give a dead zone to the pulse rate vs. emf curves and they have given theoretically derived expressions for the pulse rate vs. emf, the residual potential as a parameter. In the present paper written as the sequel of the previous, are described the experimental results of the detector excited by a pulse train whose frequency is other than the commercial frequency. It is found that the characteristics of the output pulse rate are very different from those excied by the commercial frequency, giving rather a wide proportional part. These results are theoretically discussed and are explained as mainly due to the intervening sinusoidal noise of commercial frequency. In the latter part of the present paper are treated analytically the phenomena occurring at the starting instant of each exciting pulse.
