The exchangers for use are AG 21K, Dowex 1-X8 (both strong base) and Amberlite CG-4B (weak base). It is found that a strong base exchanger such as Dowex 1-X8 is more convenient for separation than that of weak basicity, and an acetate form of exchanger is most suitable for absorption and elution. The most appropriate value of the pH of the buffer was 3.5 for separation of o- from m-isomer and m- from p-isomer, but separation of o- and p-isomers from each other was not so easier with an acetate buffer using an exchange column of an usual length. Some discussions on these experimental facts were tried by comparison of the values of Kd, separation factor and HETP of the isomers.}, pages = {31--37}, title = {Ion-exchange Property of Aromatic Isomers by Anion-exchanger (1) : Separation of Isomers of Amino-benzoic Acid}, volume = {2}, year = {1971} }
