However, for many students, the classics are not perceived as something useful, and it is difficult to say that it will lead to an attitude of familiarity with the classics. In this study, the aim was to make students realize that by experiencing the views of the ancients through the essay “Makura no Sosh”, they can broaden their views of things in the modern world and make the classics useful to them.
