Questionnaires were carried out once a year for a four-year period and responses were consistently obtained from a total of 11 subjects. The Friedman test was used to analyze the scores that reflected the basic social competency. Text mining was used to identify experiential factors during the university life that improved the competency. Students in fourth-year exhibited the basic social competency that was significantly higher than those in second-year. Learning activities/practical exercises were associated with the abilities of problem-solving, logical analysis, and listening to others.
