In Japanese language studies, students are expected to develop the qualities and abilities to engage in deep discussions. However, it is considered necessary to consider how to realize this in the classroom. In this study, we conducted classes in which students learned argumentation skills in practice and devised a task setting to make use of these skills. In the analysis, we used text mining to examine what kind of awareness students have.
