内容記述 Summary: The purpose of this paper is to investigate some of the intrinsic properties that characterize the so-called 'S+V+O+C' Construction in English. The paper begins with a brief comparison between the 'functional' approach postulated by Nakajima to the analysis of the sentence pattern and the treatment of English syntax presented in transformational generative grammar.
