| 内容記述 | 本研究では，中学校英語の授業において，外国人留学生との対話やインタビュー，プレゼンテーション等の実際の交流が，生徒の英語学習への意欲や外国の文化への関心に与える影響について検討した。実際に外国人と交流することは，自分自身や自分の考えについて英語で伝える体験になると同時に，相手の国の文化や相手自身の考えを知ることになる。生徒達は，話す相手の文化的背景や相手自身の好み等を意識し，話す内容や適切な英語表現について考える。このような外国人留学生との交流を継続して実践した結果，多数の生徒の英語学習への意欲や外国へ興味関心が向上する傾向が見られた。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | In this study, we examined the effects of actual interactions such as dialogues, interviews, and presentations with foreign students in junior high school English classes on students' motivation to learn English and their interest in foreign cultures. Actual interaction with a foreigner provides students with the experience of communicating in English about themselves and their ideas, and at the same time, it allows them to learn about the culture of the other country and the other person's own ideas. Students are aware of the cultural backgrounds and preferences of the people they are speaking with, and consider what to say and appropriate English expressions. As a result of continuous practice of this kind of exchange with international students, many students' motivation to learn English and interest in foreign countries tended to improve. The study examined the impact of making students aware of both the setting and the actual audience when giving a speech in a junior high school English class on their ability to express themselves. Through thinking about the situation and to whom they will deliver their speeches, students consider appropriate expressions and think of sentences with flowing content. In addition, by giving speeches in front of multiple people, students consider what is the best way to speak in a way that is easy to convey. As a result of continuous practice of these two types of speech activities with an awareness of the audience, a tendency for the expressive ability of a large number of students to improve was observed. | |||||||||
