| 内容記述 | 本研究では，中学校英語の授業において，台湾の中学生とのビデオレターや手紙，質問等の実際の交流が，生徒の書く活動への意欲や外国の文化への関心に与える影響について検討した。実際に外国人と交流することは，自分自身や自分の考えについて英語で伝える体験になると同時に，相手の国の文化や相手自身の考えを知ることになる。生徒達は，書く相手の文化的背景や相手自身の好み等を意識し，書く内容や適切な英語表現について考える。このような台湾の中学生との交流を通して，班での原稿の読み合い等の手立てをしながらまとまりのある英文を書く実践を継続した結果，多数の生徒の英語を書く活動への意欲や外国への興味関心が向上する傾向が見られた。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | In this study, we examined the effects of actual exchanges such as video letters, letters, and questions with Taiwanese junior high school students in junior high school English classes on students' motivation for writing activities and their interest in foreign cultures. Actual interaction with a foreigner provides students with the experience of communicating in English about themselves and their ideas, and at the same time, it allows them to learn about the culture of the other country and the other person's own ideas. Students are aware of the cultural backgrounds and preferences of the people to whom they write, and consider what to write and how to express themselves appropriately in English. As a result of this exchange with Taiwanese junior high school students, many students' enthusiasm for English writing activities and interest in foreign countries tended to improve as they continued to practice writing coherent English sentences while reading manuscripts together in groups. | |||||||||
