| 内容記述 | 機械翻訳・生成 AI の性能が飛躍的に向上している。スマートフォンやタブレットなどの情報機器を使わずに生活することの方が珍しく思われるような時代になり，学校でもコロナ禍を経て，タブレット学習が当然のものとなった。中学校英語科の授業でも，機械翻訳・生成 AI を活用することは時代の流れに沿ったものであると考える。本研究では，「話すこと」「書くこと」の言語活動中に，機械翻訳・生成 AI を使用する場面を作り，それが生徒の英語力向上につながるかどうかを検証した。その結果，特に「書くこと」において生徒の英語力を向上させる可能性が示唆された。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | The performance of machine translation and generative AI has improved dramatically. We are now in an era where living without using information devices such as smartphones and tablets is considered unusual. Even in schools, following the COVID-19 pandemic, tablet-based learning has become the norm. In junior high school English classes, incorporating machine translation and generative AI is seen as aligned with the trends of the times. This study created scenarios where machine translation and generative AI were used during language activities, specifically "speaking" and "writing," to examine whether these tools contribute to the improvement of students' English proficiency. The results suggested that, particularly in "writing," the use of these tools has the potential to enhance students' English skills. | |||||||||
